Death to technicians! We are pleased to announce that we finally have a new album back from the pressing plant. It will be available on CD, from mid-April, 2008. It is called ‘Death to Technicians!’ and it is a joint release between ourselves and Bearos Records.
‘Death to Technicians!’ features 10 new songs which were recorded over two days, direct to tape, at Earth Terminal studios in Hampshire, by the wonderful Lewis Childs. Initial copies of the CD will come free with a second CD, ‘It aint what you do, its what it does to you.’ This second CD contains the ten most durable recordings from the several dozen songs that we recorded, largely on 8-track, between 2002 and 2005. You can buy ‘Death to Technicians!’ direct from Bearos , or from an independent record shop. It should cost about 10 pounds. If you can’t, or it doesn’t, then please email us via elclamp[at]hotmail.com, and we’ll sell you one via PayPal or similar instead. Please check our Myspace page for details of gigs in 2008. Against entitlement. In 2007, we spent another couple of days at Earth Terminal, and recorded the follow-up to ‘Death to technicians!’ - again with Lewis Childs. It will be called ‘Against entitlement.’ There is still some mixing to do. More news when we have it
